Biography ...

The original line up of the band formed around 1997 by Harry Coffey, Steve Marshall and Paul Roffey.

Over the years the band has musicians in the line up who include: Steve Marshall (Saxon), Paul Roffey (Hotel Brown) on lead guitar, Don Garforth (Ralph and the Rednecks) on rhythm guitar, Steve Pickles (Space Cadets) guitar, on drums Chris Haigh (Hotel Brown, CPH Productions), Mick Williams (Bitter Suite, Salt and Pepper), Bob Leyton (Dave Berry, Frank White) Tony Race (SOMA, Stormbringer), Steve Wright (Twin Lizzy) and Paul Holland (Twin Lizzy). Bass guitarists have included John Swift and Ratty (Stormbringer, Non Stop Walter Band, Buzztop).

The Bass (and extra vocals) duties are brought to the gig by Barry Burrows, a very experienced player who has worked with many acts of a wide area of styles in the local scene since the `60`s. Barry holds down the "bottom end" with powerful prescision, underpinning the groove of whatever the band choose to play with expert prescision. You will hear him and you will feet those notes through the floor too!

Mike Reed has played continuously from the 60’ in Nightclubs, Cruise ships and has also worked in USA in the 70s. Cabaret, Heavy Rock on clubs (10 years with Rock Theatre), Jazz & Reggae. Last 18yrs mainly doing function band work based around Harrogate with the ‘Jeff Berry Band’ which became ‘Panache’ and then ‘Jules’ working mainly through Arena Entertainments which wound up spring 2008.

He has depped for a mulitutude of bands including: ‘Mirage’, ‘The Diamonds’, ‘Welcome to Bedrock’, ‘The Turncoats’, and ‘The Time Pirates’. His experience also encompasses backing hundreds of acts from ‘Mike & Bernie Winters’ to ‘P.J. Proby ‘ - including a few jugglers & fire-eaters! His kits includes six drum kits, a huge collection of cymbals, eight snare drums -some are vintage Ludwig & Gretsch from the 50s & 60s. Current gigging kit is a Premier Signia Maple.

Fez is a classically trained pianist with a large amount of experience on the club circuit both here and in Israel and residencies on cruise ships. Previous bands include ‘Deek the Juice’, ‘Alexander`s Palace’, ‘Demon Bros’, ‘Billy Black Band’, ‘Done N Dusted’ and ‘Infinity’. Fez also carries out quite a bit of dep work for bands such as ‘The Dee Dowling Band’ and ‘Black Pearl’.  Other highlights of Fez’s career involve writing original compositions, some of which have been used for the BBC’s Spender series with Jimmy Nail.  Aside from the Coffey Band, Fez still writes and records incidental/experimental music using his 12 keyboards and 7 modules.
